Throcin-500: Each film coated tablet contains Erythromycin Stearate equivalent to Erythromycin BP 500 mg.
Description:
Erythromycin is belongs to the macrolides group of antibiotics.It exerts bacteriostatic or bacteriocidal action based on specific interference with ribosomal protein synthesis within the bacterial cell.It is used for the treatment of infections caused by penicillinase producing staphylococci.The following microorganisms are particularly susceptible to erythromycin. Gram+: Cocci and Bacilli.Gram – : Escherichia coli (E. coli), Salmonella, Shigella,Enterobacteriaceae, Pseudomonas, Moraxella, Helicobacter, Stenotrophomonas, Bdellovibrio, acetic acid bacteria, Legionella.
