Presentation:

• P-Cort Tablet: Each film coated tablet contains Prednisolone USP 5 mg.
• P-Cort oral solution: Each 5 ml oral solution contains Prednisolone Sodium Phosphate USP equivalent to Prednisolone 5 mg.

Description:

Prednisolone is a corticosteroid drug with predominant glucocorticoid & low mineralocorticoid activity. Prednisolone is rapidly and well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract following oral administration. Prednisolone is 70-90% protein bound in the plasma and it is eliminated from the plasma with a half-life of 2-4 hours. It is metabolized mainly in the liver and excreted in the urine.

Therapeutic Class: Corticosteroid.
