D-Cort Tablet: Each tablet contains Dexamethasone 0.5 mg

D-Cort Injection: Each ml injection contains Dexamethasone 5 mg

Description:

Dexamethasone is a synthetic adrenocorticosteroid with glucocorticoid activity. It is one of the most active glucocorticoids with anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant activity. Glucocorticoids prevent the development of the inflammatory response, i.e. redness, swelling, tenderness. They also inhibit capillary dilation and phagocytosis and appear to prevent the hypersensitivity responses which occur after antigen/ antibody reactions.

Therapeutic class: Glucocorticoid.
